TIGHTSCULPTING

Fotona TightSculpting Skin Tightening in Baltimore, MD

TightSculpting is a unique fat-reduction procedure that utilizes our Fotona laser to eliminate both excess body fat as well as tightening of the skin on selected areas. TightSculpting is a safe, non-invasive and comfortable body-sculpting solution. The results can be long-lasting with appropriate continuing weight management through diet and exercise. The laser delivers controlled heat to the target stubborn fat resulting in breakdown of the fat cells. The skin is left unharmed. As fat is broken down, your body will naturally deal with it and eliminates it through normal processes... Women’s Health and Cosmetic Services of Maryland is happy to offer non surgical body fat removal and tightening treatment to women residing in Baltimore, Annapolis, Washington, DC, and the surrounding Maryland communities.

What is TightSculpting?

Fotona TightSculpting is a unique dual-wavelength, non-invasive laser treatment for sculpting and skin tightening on all body areas. The exclusive delivery modes are used in concert for hyperthermic adipocyte destruction and collagen remodeling with exceptional results. The procedure is a fast, safe, and effective non-invasive alternative to laser lipolysis, with no consumables or downtime required for your patient.

How Does TightSculpting work to body sculpt and tighten skin?

TightSculpting uses a cosmetic laser system to target stubborn fatty deposits and folds that mar your appearance. The laser is capable of heating the fat beneath the upper layers of skin, remodeling, and tightening the tissue without causing any damage to the skin. In fact, the skin is refreshed. After several procedures, the skin is noticeably tightening and the targeted areas begin to take a better shape.

The first part of the treatment consists of deep heating over the desired treatment area. Initially, you may feel gradual warming and after a few minutes, you may experience some very brief hot sensations in the treatment area. The overall sensation can be similar to a hot stone massage or a dry sauna. The second part involves more superficial heating. Depending on the treatment area, the heat generated is slightly more intense, but still very tolerable. Post-treatment your skin will feel warm to the touch and maybe pink or even red for a day or two.

Does TightSculpting hurt?

As a non-invasive procedure, TightSculpting causes little to no pain or discomfort. Some patients feel a warming sensation followed by brief moments of hotness in the target area. Many compare it to the same heat felt during a hot stone massage.

Is there downtime after a TightSculpting session?

A typical procedure does not cause any downtime. You can return to your normal activities immediately. You may feel the warmth and notice a pink hue in the targeted area for some hours afterward, though. If you elect to use an aggressive treatment regimen, warmth and redness may linger for up to two days. Still, this does not cause any pain or disability during that time.

How is Fotona TightSculpting Different than Surgery?

TightSculpting addresses three concerns of skin tightening – Tone and Texture, Laxity, and Volume Loss – with a completely non-surgical approach regardless of what area of the body is being treated.
- Tone and Texture is best described as what you can see and feel on the skin, it’s the perfections and imperfections.
- Laxity and Volume Loss are mutual and not exclusive of each other. If you have volume loss there will be laxity – if there is laxity it is typical to have experienced volume loss from aging or weight loss. Collagen production stops at about the age of 30, so by the age of 40 subtle changes in the skin are more pronounced and apparent. Anyone who has lost 10 or more pounds knows clothes fit better, but your skin doesn’t always look better!

What Areas Can Be Treated With TightSculpting?

The most common areas treated on the body with TightSculpting are the abdomen for women after pregnancy or liposuction imperfections. Other areas include bra fat, love handles, inner or outer thighs, or the entire thigh. The most popular area for skin tightening is the lower face and neck.  The number of treatments needed is directly related to age, area on the body, and/or the significance of the problem area.

How Many Treatments required for TightSculpting?

Results will vary with every individual. Most patients will see immediate tightening followed by a gradual change in contour as your newly refreshed skin tightens. Depending on your desired results, you may require multiple treatments. To achieve the same results as TightSculpting other treatments require you to undergo two separate procedures: one to target contouring and one to target tightening taking more time to see results. With TightSculpting, these procedures are combined to give you quicker, more immediate results.
